The short version

Peacemaker collects nothing about you or your child. No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. The app has no internet connection of any kind, so nothing you do in it is ever sent anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing.

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal information through the app. We do not know who you are, how often you open the app, which feelings you or your child choose, or anything else about how you use it.

What the app stores on your device

Peacemaker stores exactly one thing on your iPhone: a single yes/no setting recording whether the app has been opened before, so that the opening animation only plays the first time.

It contains no personal information and is never sent to us or to anyone else. Like the rest of your iPhone's data, it is included in your own iCloud or computer backups. Deleting the app removes it.

Peacemaker never saves the feelings you and your child choose. It keeps no history, no diary and no record of any round.

No internet connection

Peacemaker contains no networking code whatsoever. It works identically in aeroplane mode, and it cannot send data off your device even in principle.

No third parties

Peacemaker includes no third-party code, SDKs or services: no advertising networks, no analytics and no social media components. Nobody else receives anything, because nothing is collected.

Information from Apple

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may pass us crash reports and usage statistics about Peacemaker. Apple anonymises these so they don't identify you, and we use them only to find and fix problems. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Apple also shows us anonymous, aggregated App Store figures, such as the number of downloads.

If you contact us

If you email us or use the contact form on our website (hosted by Framer), we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you; our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message. We never add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone else, and we delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed.

Children's privacy

Peacemaker is designed to be used by a parent or carer together with a child. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Your rights

Data protection laws such as the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. The app holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have contacted us and would like that correspondence deleted, just ask.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
