I’m doing regular work in schools to help derive the winning recipe for the use of AI in class and at home. It’s a fascinating, fast-moving space.
The boilerplate downloadable policies are lacking in areas. I’ve made a digital-product that uses survey and sentiment from pupils, staff and parents to automatically compile custom school policies that have higher relevance, compliance and impact.

VR distraction game for children having blood tests.
My eldest son had a terrible time in hospital with cannulas. It was a widespread hazard felt by all parents and children. I was the dad who conceived and built a virtual-reality cinema with anti-wriggle game to calm children and promote arm stillness during cannula fitting and blood tests.
I won places on prestigious NHS incubators and ran a pilot in six flagship hospitals. I was under the impression that the NHS had money for paediatric innovations, it didn't. I gave away a lot of headset kits and helped many families in the toughest moments.

Radial Cradle®
Invented a heart-surgery sling used in the NHS.
I'm a lapsed medical-engineer and worked with a leading cardiology surgeon to develop a disposable sling that positions patients for stent-fitting, where surgical kit is inserted from the wrist to the heart (yep!). It's like a special hug on the operating table, that converts into a sling on exit.
We later learned it saved surgeons from excessive radiation exposure (ask me!). Hard-yards with expensive patents, Chinese manufacture and NHS procurement - it's used daily in leading cardiology units across the UK.
